VISUM Speedfriending: Let’s talk about food!
What are the most popular meals in your country? Which is your favourite dish? Where do you (never) order food?
If you want to connect with other people and exchange your opinions on the topic, join our Speedfriending Event. This week’s motto is “Let’s talk about food!”. The groups are shuffled every ten minutes, to make sure you get to know many different eating habits.
And maybe you will even get inspired to participate at our International Dinner …

VISUM International Dinner
Do you want to try Korean Kimbap or French Quiche Lorraine? Now is the time to do so!
Experience a variety of culinary specialties at our Online International Dinner.
Share your cooking skills online! You can either cook something from your home country and share the recipe with some zoom-friends or try out cooking new food from a different country for a new challenge! You are also welcome to accompany this with traditional drinks.
Hungry yet? Grab your VISUM buddy and your roommate(s), sign in and start cooking and dining together!
--> When? Thursday, October 9th, 2021 – 7:00 p.m.

--> How does it work?
The concept is simple:
There are two options. You’re either a master chef contestant or you’re Gordon Ramsey, giving the instructions.
If you choose to show the other members of your group how to cook a special meal from your country (feel free to add a local drink if you like), you can submit it below or send it to us by Tuesday at the latest. At the dinner, you will be the one showing your group live in our Zoom call, how to cook your recipe. The members of your group will cook it at home, in their own kitchen.
If you’d like to be shown a recipe, you will cook the recipe of the person in your group showing their recipe and follow their instructions.
The groups will be matched randomly and contain 4-5 people (if you’re a vegetarian/ vegan etc., this will be taken into account and you will be matched accordingly).
If you’re the one sharing your recipe, it will be sent to your group members before the event. If you’re cooking someone else’s recipe, you will receive it in advance, so you can buy all the ingredients beforehand.
You’re welcome to cook together with your roommate or your VISUM buddy, but please be aware of the current COVID restrictions.

IMPORTANT!!!
Dear Internationals, Buddies and VISUM members,
We hope you are enjoying the events so far! However the organisation sometimes didn’t go as smooth as we expected. We noticed that many who registered didn’t show up while many showed up without registration. While we appreciate your enthusiasm, we cannot unfortunately allow this on the future outgoings due to Corona restrictions. It is our utmost priority to conduct our work and be able to organise more offline events in a controlled manner and ensure the safety of all participants who registered.
If you registered and are unable to make it please do let us know latest 2 days in advance by sending us an email to info@visum-mannheim.de or writing us on all of our social media platforms with your infos so that we could take your name off of the list. After the 2 day deadline we are unable to provide you with a refund.
