1. VISUM Carnival Stammtisch
Helau und Alaaf!
At this week’s Stammtisch, we will celebrate one of Germany’s favourite festivities! Call it Karneval or Fasching, this event has many names and many faces: as part of the celebration, you can dress up as who- or whatever you like! The funnier, the better!
Enjoy the love-of-life-spirit, the infamous Karneval songs and an entertaining evening you will never forget.
When? February 24th, 8pm

2. VISUM Black & White Party
Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time for the annual Black & White Party! Grab your finest outfits for the occasion. Ladies, that little black (or white) dress you b(r)ought but never wore? Now it’s your chance to show it off! Gents, nothing looks better than a chic black suit and bowtie, so it’s time to make heads turn. Of course, all awesome black & white outfit styles are welcome – together we will transform SOHO into a black and white sea of dancing students. Grab your friends and your buddy, plan your outfits and get ready for the Black & White Party!
Tickets are only available at the box office, there won't be any presale!

3. VISUM goes BASF
Have you ever wondered where the largest chemical plant in the world is located? No? Then look right across the Rhine towards Ludwigshafen!
If you are interested in the world of chemistry and beyond, join us on our BASF company tour!
BASF is the world’s leading chemical company and has its headquarters in Ludwigshafen. If you want to experience how BASF is operating the largest chemical areal in the world then join us for this special trip. This guided tour will be completely free, just make sure that you register with the link below. Only registered students can participate!
Don’t forget to bring your Semesterticket (if you have one) and your Ecum/student ID!
If you don’t have the ticket don’t worry, there are cheap tickets available for the tram.

4. VISUM goes Neuschwanstein
+++ SOLD OUT +++
Neuschwanstein Castle is a must see for anyone who visits Germany and loves architecture, history and breathtaking views. Doesn’t it look familiar? Well if you thought about Disney you are right! Castle Neuschwanstein inspired Walt Disney to create the Magic Kingdom.
So take part in our daytrip to Neuschwanstein on February 29th and enjoy with us one of the most beautiful buildings of historicism!
When? February 29th, 6:15 am - 23PM
Where? Schloss Neuschwanstein
Meeting Point: 6:15 am at Ehrenhof/Schloss, Mannheim
We will leave from Neuschwanstein at 7 pm
5. VISUM International Dinner
Do you prefer chili over wasabi or vice versa? Do you want to try Korean Kimbap or French Quiche Lorraine? Now is the time to do so!
At our International Dinner you can taste a variety of culinary specialties while offering delicacies from your home country!
What do you have to do?
Meet in small groups with your compatriots, prepare food that is typical for your country, and bring traditional drinks.
The idea is to exchange food among each other, so we ask you to bring something if you would like to participate. You don’t need to bring a lot. It should just be sufficient for everyone to try some.
If possible, also bring a plate, cup and cutlery. We will offer some disposables but would like to reduce those with regard to our environment!

wir hoffen, dass ihr euch gut in Mannheim eingelebt habt und können es kaum erwarten euch am Dienstag alle auf der VISUM Black & White Party im SOHO zu sehen!
Wie auch immer, wir haben diese und nächste Woche viele tolle Events für euch:
1. VISUM Carnival Stammtisch
Helau und Alaaf!
Beim dieswöchigen Stammtisch feiern wir eine von Deutschlands liebsten Feierlichkeiten. Nenn es Karneval oder Fasching, dieses Event hat viele Namen und viele Gesichter:
Im Rahmen der Feier könnt ihr euch als wer- oder was ihr wollt verkleiden!
Je lustiger, desto besser!
Genießt den lebensfreudigen Geist der Karnevalsatmosphäre, die berüchtigten Karnevalslieder und einen unterhaltsamen Abend, den ihr nicht so schnell vergessen werdet.

2. VISUM Black & White Party
Ladies and Gentlemen, die jährliche Black & White Party steht an! Also Mädels schnappt euch das kleine Schwarze (oder Weiße), was ihr schon die ganze Zeit anziehen wolltet! Jungs, holt eure Anzüge aus dem Schrank und verdreht den Mädels die Köpfe. Natürlich ist jedes Outfit in schwarz oder weiß gern gesehen - zusammen werden wir das SOHO in ein tanzendes schwarz-weißes Meer verwandeln! Überlegt euch mit euren Freunden ein einzigartiges Outfit und einer großartigen Party steht nichts mehr im Wege!
Tickets gibt es nur an der Abendkasse.

Hast du dich jemals gefragt, wo sich die größte Chemiefabrik der Welt befindet? Nein? Dann schau mal übern Rhein in Richtung LU!
Falls du Interesse an der Welt der Chemie und darüber hinaus hast, dann nimm an unserer BASF Firmenführung teil!
BASF ist der weltweit führende Anbieter von Chemikalien und hat seine Firmenzentrale in Ludwigshafen. Falls Ihr vor Ort erleben wollt, wie BASF das größte zusammenhängende Chemieareal der Welt betreibt, dann nehmt jetzt teil! Diese Führung ist kostenlos, allerdings müsst ihr euch unbedingt anmelden, denn nur wer angemeldet ist, darf teilnehmen!

4. VISUM goes Neuschwanstein
+++ AUSVERKAUFT +++
Das Schloss Neuschwanstein ist ein Muss für jeden, der Deutschland besucht und Architektur, Geschichte und atemberaubende Aussichten liebt. Es ist unter anderem dafür bekannt, dass es Walt Disney dazu inspirierte, das magische Königreich zu erschaffen!
Also nehmt an unserem Daytrip nach Neuschwanstein am 29. Februar teil und genießt mit uns eins der schönsten Bauwerke des Historismus!

Treffpunkt: 6:15 Uhr auf dem Ehrenhof der Universität Mannheim
5. VISUM International Dinner
Bevorzugt ihr Wasabi oder Chili? Möchtet ihr koreanisches Kimbap oder französische Quiche Lorraine probieren? Jetzt habt ihr die Möglichkeit dazu!
Beim internationalen Dinner könnt ihr Speisen und Getränke aus aller Welt kosten und gleichzeitig typisches Essen aus eurem Land vorstellen!
Was ist zu tun?
Findet euch in Ländergruppen zusammen, bereitet etwas Landestypisches zu und bringt nach Möglichkeit auch noch traditionelle Getränke mit.
Die Idee ist, sich gegenseitig landestypische Spezialitäten vorzustellen. Wenn ihr also am Dinner teilnehmt, bringt bitte auch selbst etwas mit. Ihr müsst nicht allzu viel zubereiten, aber so viel, dass jede/r etwas probieren kann.
Wenn möglich, bringt bitte euren eigenen Teller, Becher und Besteck mit. Aus Umweltgründen würden wir gerne auf Einweggeschirr so weit wie möglich verzichten!
